exporting EDL for use on Pro Tools 5.1

Hi there. I have exported an EDL from FCP HD 4.5 running on a G5. The EDL is to be used by the sound engineer to rerecord the audio for the project. the Sound engineer is using Pro tools 5.1 post conform to import audio. However, when he begins the auto-conform, it does not work, changing the Timecode framerate from 25fps (Pal) which is as it should be to NTSC 29.97, which stops everything from working. To add confusion, if I import the very same EDL on to my Media 100 editing system, the EDL works fine. Therefore it is a conflict between Pro tools and Final Cut. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
