Case-sensitive PDF search in Preview

I feel that so many useful features are lost (or hidden somewhere) in the new Preview of SL. In Leopard, I could search words case-sensitive. Now I can no longer do that since the control has been removed (or am I missing something)?

Also previously the search result showed up with text list showing the context within which the word lies. Now it's all gone and we get useless search rank instead.

Is there any way I can reinstall my good old Preview to Snow Leopard?

I am STUNNED to discover that Preview is broken (as described here) and yet apparently people are coming to the conclusion that this is the way it's SUPPOSED to work? I rely on the search (with caps/lowercase) and on the text list of occurrences in the search results sidebar, I use it many times a day, and now this tool is useless.

If anyone manages to figure out how to run an older/more useful version, please post here. Thanks. Meanwhile I'm going to report this as a bug.
