If you can connect to a mac running 10.5 and you can enable printer sharing for that printer through the 10.5 box, then you can print to it as a shared printer on your network. That's what I did with my MP 2050. It is not possible to scan and push the file to your snow leopard computer. Once again, I connect to a shared folder on a machine running 10.5 and pull my scans from there. We will have to wait until Ricoh updates their drivers.

Ricoh provides PCL drivers for this printer through the Ghostscript driver pxlcolor. You will find all you need at _ http://www.linuxfoundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/MacOSX/pxlmono_.

Download and install (in this order) Ghostscript, Foomatic-RIP, and the pxlmono package. You should then be able to set up your printer through Print & Fax System Preference pane.

If you need to set User Codes, I have a small text based script that will lead you through the process. You can download it at _ http://webpages.charter.net/mbroughtn/beta/RicohUserCodes.zip_

Hi Matt

Why I manually set IP address on the printer 198.168.1.10, its print out garbage and too many blank pages

Hi Matt

Printer on network, and I have tried LAN/Wireless, still no luck

I installed the driver for Snow Leopard from apple web site, I was messing around and see if I can set the printer from wed base instead of print&fax, and I may select something that cause user name issue, however there is no log-in / pass word to use the printer.

I also installed the recommend s/w in order, and still same problem.

I called the Ricoh ref said you need postcript 3 (PS3) and they wanted $975.00 to install the module that work for MAC, it's true?

I have no problem to print B/W or color from VMware windows
