    Hi! i'm desperate.
    tonight i switch on my mac pro with Snow Leopard....accidentally i log in with guest name.....when i log in again with my adm main account, i saw a new computer!!!!
    now everything appear lost, my documents, files, folders....everything.
    could u help me to find them?
    they are still on my HD or they definitily gone?

    but is there any way to recovery my files?

    the only way to maybe recover something is by immediately running data recovery software like data Rescue 3. this should be done ASAP to maximize recovery chances.
    and start backing up. apart from bugs like this one, all hard drives fail eventually. the only way to protect yourself against data loss is to have a backup.

    i know , but it's unbelieveble e bug like this and no way to recovery files!
