Anybody else having trouble with Stickies?

Every time I try to open my Stickies Application on my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard, it keeps saying "You can't use this version of the application Stickies with this version of Mac OS X. You have Stickies 6.0".
And when I try to look for an update for Stickies, I can't find one. What can I do?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6)

Hi Writemuzik,

Are you running the older version from the Dock? I have been bit by this before when I forget to remove an alias to the older version from the Dock and add the new one from the Applications folder.
Right Click (Control Click) on the Dock icon -> Options -> Show in Finder. Check which version that is. Also check your Applications folder for a newer version.

Hope that helps,
Ivan

Recently I bought a new mini after my old G4 with Leopard 10.5.6 bit the bullet. I'm unable to open or import text from my old Stickies to the mini, via an external back-up.

How ironic that Apple would let this incompatibility issue slip through the cracks since Stickies are touted as a "convenience" app -- and now all my conveniently stored data still exists, but is inaccessible.

Let's hope some heroic developer jumps in and bridges the Stickies gap, soon.
Otherwise some of us who trusted our Stickies and piled up our data year after year with no prior problems will be banging our heads on the wall.

So it seems Apple really screwed up Stickies in 10.6.

When I open stickies, it was picking one of 3 stickies and moving it to the top left corner of my monitor. If I moved that stickies to a new location, the next time I opened stickies, it moved a different note up there. It was a circle of me moving it, restarting stickies and a different note moving. I finally got wise to that game and just left the note where it was...and moved my other notes up near it to fit in better.

Then felling brave, I touched a stickies on my second monitor tot he right of my main monitor...I just moved it a bit to line ti back up again. Fearing what i had done, I restarted stickies only to have all my notes on the right monitors jumbled across the main left monitors on top of each other. Now I can't undo this...anytime I opened stickies, I'm stuck moving every sticky out of the way to get to the one I care about at the bottom of the stack.

No stickies for me.

After the trouble I had with Stickies on 10.6 I discovered that my Photoshop would no longer work either. It had functioned perfectly under 10.5.6.

Luckily, I had install disks for 10.5.6 so I did a clean reinstall, getting rid of Snow Leopard.

I was now able to drag my stickies database from storage on a back-up drive into the library of my user folder and presto -- my Stickies are back!

Leopard is just as fast as SL and much more trustworthy. Over and out.

Using the Windows menu, i rearranged my stickies. I tried lots of different orders.

My stickies as I place them on my main left monitor, stay, and work like I would expect now. However, I cannot move any stickies to my side monitor. When I restart stickies, its put back in the upper left of the left monitor.

Can anyone put stickies onto a side right monitor?

Literally, if one pixel is still on my left monitor, the sticky is fine. If I move it one more pixel and restart stickies, its back in the upper left.
