Mac HDD not on desktop

I did a clean install of Snow Leopard over Tiger. When it booted to my desktop it shows the three partitions from my external drive, but not my internal drive. It is in Finder though. How can I get it (internal drive) to display on my desktop like it does in Tiger and Leopard?
