HP Deskjet F2180 - no Driver available

Hi!

I have installed 10.6 on a external HD to make several tests before doing the final upgrade on my production system.

Everything runs well but i have a problem with printing on my HP Deskjet F2180 Printer. The system was trying to download the specific driver, but abortet the process and said, that there is no driver available and i have to come back later.

I find it very strange that when i use the built in driver for the F2100 series, i actually can use the native OS X scan-software but not so much luck with printing.

Does anybody know were i can get reliable information about Apples/HPs plans to provide a driver for my printer?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6)

I was on the phone using Apple's expert callback for this vary issue while the agent and I were looking at the following website: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01846935&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us &lang=en&os=219&product=3235678 which showed the F2100 series printers being supported, HP updated the site to what it is now which shows that "Currently the following HP Inkjet devices are not yet supported with Snow Leopard. HP is committed to providing Mac OS X 10.6 support for these models and will provide updated software soon." for the following printers, HP Deskjet F300, F2100, F2200, F2400, 4300, 5600, Officejet J3600.
Now considering the fact that there are other HP printers which aren't listed at all as "going to be supported" it makes me hopeful that my F2110 might one day work with 10.6.x. Hopefully it will work better than 10.6.0, this is the most unstable Mac OS X yet.
