Try the general tips in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802#power
If the issue persists, make a reservation with a Genius here: http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
or call U.S. iPhone technical support: 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466).
The Genius can usually repair or replace the iPhone on the spot, if there is a hardware issue.
