I was using the map feature and when i looked down at it, it had the countdown timer thing, and then it turned black. Now it won't turn on or i don't know what. It didn't give me a low battery warning, I need to know how to turn it on or what i did to make it turn off like this! I'm stranded without my phone. I rely on the map to get me to place, I just moved and i have no idea how to get around!!! someone help me please..

    Hey,

Try the general tips in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802#power

If the issue persists, make a reservation with a Genius here: http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
or call U.S. iPhone technical support: 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466).
The Genius can usually repair or replace the iPhone on the spot, if there is a hardware issue.

First things first. Try plugging your iPhone to a wall socket and give it 10 minutes. Using maps sometimes drains the battery much faster than expected, and seems like your battery is -well- drained.
