Lexmark x5150 Emulation

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, my Lexmark X5150 does not work. It is listed as not compatible with Snow Leopard on the Lexmark website ( http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=content&id=OS8&locale=EN&userlocale=EN_CA), although the previous version of Leopard was also listed as not compatible but it worked well anyway.

Is there another Lexmark (or any other printer, for that matter) that the X5150 printer emulates? I've tried a few different Lexmark drivers but none have worked yet.

By the way, the scan function appears to work fine with the original driver. Just the printer doesn't work.

Thanks.

I have received an e-mail reply from Lexmark Technical Support to my question wether my Lexmark X5150 will work under Snow Leopard.

And no, 10.6 and higher is not supported for this model. They offer a 20% discount when you buy a new Lexmark printer.

That sounds pretty definitive to me. This type of printer has no future.

When I try to find the technical information about the printer languages this printer supports I find no mention of PostScript or PCL. So emulation is not option either.

Please correct me when I am wrong.
