Macally PHR-S250CC

After upgrading the 7200 RPM 320gb hard drive in my (2.4 GHZ MacBook Pro to 500gb, I had hoped to use the existing 320 gb hard drive in an external hard drive enclosure Macally PHR-S250CC. A blue light came on, the hard drive spun, but it did not mount on any of the 3 computers I tried it on (Mac Pro, Macbook Pro, even Windows XP) (even with the additional USB power cable in case bus power wasn't enough). . I put the drive into a naked USB adapter to see if it had become damaged, etc. Worked fine.

I tried to troubleshoot, with 5 same brand same model enclosures, one from New-egg and 4 from Mac Mall. with the same results. Neither enclosure or Hard drive can be recognized by Mac or Windows. I would thank for any help on this.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6), Macbook Pro 17" 2.4 Matte screen

Unfortunately not. 4 out of 5 enclosures, the test was performed at the Mac Mall retail store and with the help of the tech guy, none of them would be recognized by Mac OS or windows. Even the tech guy was shocked, He keeps saying, I don't get it, this is one of the best enclosures out there. At the end they refunded my money since they were unable to fix or to locate a problem. It is strange the first one was ordered from Newegg, I had to return it for this problem, than I went to Mac Mall store and they were having similar problem. The hard drive is working great with one of those naked test adapter, but not with Macally PHR-S250CC.
