Digi002 not recognized as input device

I have a Digi002 recognized by my computer, but it does not offer it as an audio i/o source in either system prefs or in LE9. I have installed the recommended drivers from the AVID site ... didn't change anything that I could tell.

ANy ideas why this might be? Very frustrating dealing with the i/o issues all around ...
