Right click highlights?

Right click highlights?

I think i had this problem before but ended up going with Fire Fox. Now i have Snow Leopard and Safari is blazzing fast so i like to use it. When i right click, it highlights? is there something that needs to be done to stop this? thanks for the help!

Greetings,

What are you right-clicking on that is highlighted? Have you tried Control-click instead?

right clicking anything that can be highlighted. control - click does the same thing. if i want to copy and paste something in this text, it will highlight.

That is the normal behavior for Right-click and Control-click; it highlights the word and brings up the Contextual Menu. To select text you must click and drag the mouse over the text you want to do something with, then you can use Command-C to copy it, or use Right-click or Control-click to bring up the Contextual Menu with other options.
