Sep 21, 2009 8:38 PM in response to REYNEby Nadav,Hello,
What is the biggest difference between the AHT 1.2.7 and 2.0.2 besides working for different machines? I mean, doesn't the dual 1.25 and single 1.25 use the same thing? -

DesktopsThis page may have your diagnostic CD-image. Download and make a CD -- it cannot be run any other way.

Sep 22, 2009 6:34 AM in response to Grant Bennet-Alderby Douglas Eckert,I did the CD burn, as directed. Restarted, held down Option, as it works towards Startupmanager say's it does not support this machine.
I downloaded the AHT for my PowerBook G4 17" 1.33 GHZ and, after burning, and Option starting, it says that it "Does not support this machine". So I downloaded the other one, and had the same problems. Is AHT available for my computer? I'm having severe lockups, DOS text crossing the screen with black text background.
Initialized, reinstalled only Apple software with TIger install disks. (no third party installs) and still have same problem. So I think its logicboard or memory at this point.
i've downloaded the following AHT from Apple:
693-3994-A.dmg
693-4420-A.dmg
and both say "Does not support this machine.
My machine specifics:

Sep 22, 2009 1:47 PM in response to REYNEby mister dix,I'm in the same boat as Douglas here. I have a friends 15" PBG4 here and can't find a simple hardware test online. That's a little nuts. How come the hardware tests aren't out there and available for every mac made?
Thanks to anyone who might be able to supply us with a link to some working .img's -

Oct 30, 2009 1:08 PM in response to REYNEby cardinalsupport,Does anyone know how to obtain a 2.0.2 AHT disk or image? I have a PowerBook G4 12" that I need to run diagnostics on. None of the disks at http://www.info.apple.com/support/aht.html work on the system. Apparently I need one of the following versions: 2.0.2, 2.0.5, 2.0.6, 2.5, 2.5.2. Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated. On a side note, Do any of you recommend any other type of hardware diagnostics for macs?
Thanks in advance,
Cam
