Q: Apple Hardware Test 2.0.2 for PowerMac MDD 1.25 Single.

Hello people,

No amount of searching has helped me to locate the individual disc image that shipped with this model of Mac that I want to test.

It's the last 1.25 single processor MDD released in 2003. I'm not sure, but I think the part number is:

OS X 10.2.7, Hardware Test 2.0.2, part#691-4567-A

Is there just one version of AHT 2.0.2 or model specific versions as well?

Cheers, R.

G4 1.42DP MDD, 2GB, 120GB, x800XT, 10.5.8 Server, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 5500 Director (250), 6100 (66), G3 Minitower 233 + Desktop (233), B&W G3 (350). LC, LCII

Just remember who gave it to you...Japamac! I still have it and I have gotten quite a response from those that want it. You might also want to ask me for the ASD and mactest pro.

Actually, I gave it to Patrick Bagdasarian and he gave it then to you.. so, actually I am the one who originally gave him it and I told him to pass it onto you.

I thought that you said that you don't have the AHT 2.0.2?

I'm in the same boat. I traded the Powerbook from a friend and have no CDS, when I try to use the AHT off the download page it gives me the memory error and boots into Open Firmware. I think I need 2.0.2 to make it work. Anyone who has it or knows where to get it would be my savior!

This is the Powerbook I'm working on:

Not sure if any hardware test would work on it, but I got a copy of Tech Tool Deluxe to try.

I'm sort of relieved to see this is a recent thread... I guess a lot of us are having trouble with our fw800's (etc) lately.

I'd be forever indebted if someone could Point Me in the right direction. I can't find my original disks, and I need to know if these problems are going to total my beloved computer.

Hi, I cannot for the life of me find Hardware Test 2.0.2 for iMac anywhere online. Is this PMG4 the same 2.0.2 that will load for the iMac (17-inch USB 2.0)? Thank you for your help! mail@ cstout23[at]yahoo.com

    Hi folks
Like all the others I am in need of a Hardware Test Image for my Mac Pro Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
Can anyone help please? My Mac is behaving very oddly & I suspect something is cooked after the power tripped in my house. My Mac won't boot with an OS disk in Bay 1. I just get the rotating arrow circle followed by the No Entry sign (circle with line through it). The mac boots with the same OS disk in Bay 2. I also noticed today it wouldn't mount my USB memory stick. Juts got a message saying "System Extension cannot be used... IOStorageFamily.kext was installed improperly..."
This is on a newly installed and patched OS on a brand new disk
It's not much fun using my mac Pro just now
Thanks to anyone who can help or suggest anything
    Bob

Hi. I'm having the same problem as everyone else here - spent days reading through threads and articles to find out what were the correct discs for the G4 MDD Dual 1.25Ghz (2002) - then have spent almost two months trying to track them down to buy, but no luck.

Would the vs 1.2.6 be okay for my model also, or would I need 1.2.7? I downloaded 1.2.6 from the test image page (thanks so much for the link - didn't know it existed), but I fear it might be for the early 133mhz bus ones like the 867mhz models. If someone could direct me to where I could download AHT vs 1.2.7 (or the correct one for my model), I'd greatly appreciate it!

Also, I do have the restore and hardware test cds for the G4 Powerbook 667 & 800 mhz DVI (AHT version 1.2.2 - 691-3565-A), the G4 Macbook 1.25ghz (2003 15" & 17" - AHT version 2.0.4 - 691-4676-A), and the Digital Audio (don't have the version handy). If someone can tell me how to make them available by email - and if it doesn't break any rules here - I'd be more than happy to share.

    Thanks a lot.
