Samsung Printers Rastertosec failed

The driver for this printer should be included on your 10.6 DVD, if you delete the driver (/Library/Printers/Samsung) then connect your printer again, you should be prompt to install the driver via Software Update, that is a better way of getting your driver.

Same problem. CLX 2160 only prints pages documents. printing pdf is impossible

I've tried both the samsung driver (latest) and the one from the dvd...

Now i try the old leopard driver... perhaps this will work??

The OLD LEOPARD DRIVER DOES NOT WORK EITHER!!! Now i got the samsung Driver installed for 10.6

BUT, I got old PDF dokuments... those can be printed... its not possible to print from firefox, i can print from safari!!!

When i print into pdf via firefox... no printing possible...

There seems to be a problem with the connection between firefox and the PRINTERDriver!!


IF YOU WANT TO PRINT PDFs, open them via Safari and Printing works!!!!

Try this:
1. Run the command below in Terminal:
sudo rm -rf /Library/Printers/Samsung /Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources/Samsung* "/Library/Image Capture/Devices/Samsung Scanner.app"
2. Delete your samsung printer queue from Print & Fax preferences.
3. Re-create your printer queue, when being asked whether you want download drivers, say "yes".

No printing from Safari does not work. At least on my CLP-300

Doesn't work.

I am having troubles with my Samsung CLP-300.

I can't print anything in Firefox, and I can't print PDF's in Safari. Printing from Word and Excel works fine.

I have tried everything and concluded that this is a problem with the Driver.

HELP!!!!

I was having the same problem with my CLX-2160N. Looks like 10.6.1 broken something because after resintalling 10.6 and the the Samsung drivers for 10.6 everything is back to normal.

I am getting no where with trying to fix this issue.

After multiple attempts to uninstall and reinstall drivers etc, the only outcome is that I can no longer print from my Kid's favorite Program called Tux Paint. I am now getting the same message that Rastertosec has failed on this as well.

I have called Samsung in Australia, and they said that they will get back to me tomorrow if they can come up with a solution. I am not holding my breath.

THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!!!!

Having exactly the same issue with a Samsung MFP 3160FN. rastertosec failure to print. One call to Samsung the guy said that the Driver was made prior to GM release to get it to market as such and new driver was due (two weeks ago). Call to second tech support guy elicited confusion (again) and was expecting a call back last Monday (1 week ago).

Will try him again tomorrow.

Any help would be greatfully accepted.

Ok I may have had a breakthrough......

Samsung have changed their printer driver download files to a single file covering 10.3-10.6 and after downloading and installing...*I CAN PRINT!* Early days I know but it seems that the 2009-09-23 file update has at least fixed my CLX-3160FN.

Can people who have new Drivers please tell me if they have been fixed.
