Just installed Snow Leopard, Battery not charging! D:

Finally got Snow Leopard, every else seems fine but my battery refuses to charge. I already updated all my software/firmware(at least when I check for updates). The power chord works, but my battery life has slowly been draining over the last couple hours and I honestly cannot afford to buy a new battery.

Is there any way to fix this?
