Disney-Pixar Cars on a MacBook Pro

Hi Mac users. My son has got the game Cars from the Disney-Pixar movie. The game is for both Mac and PC. It is the only 3D game on my Mac. The background graphics from the game runs bad and jumpy on my MacBook Pro worse than the graphics on my first ATARI. On the 8 years old PC of my son the complete game runs perfect. Is this a kind of settings at my MacBook? Knows somebody this matter? Thank you.

Do you meet all the game system requirements?
Did you download the game from a website or are you playing off a cd?
Check the game's vendor site to determine if you need to download any patches or updates.
Check the game's vendor site to determine if they have a Cars game forum, customer tech support or knowledge base articles.
