Nokia 5310 Problem with Snow Leopard?

Your Nokia 5310 series 40 mobile handset is not natively supported by iSync, so the issue must be one of incompatibility with your present plugin and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Contact the author of the plugin for assistance.

No. Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard requires and can only run iSync 3.1.0 which is installed with it by default.

Have you done as Michael suggested, and contacted the author of the plugin you are using?

I have the same phone, and have had the same problem. I initially tried syncing my phone with iSync, but it wasn't supported. You can get a 3rd party driver from here: http://pyxx.org/nokia-5310-xpressmusic-isync-plugin/. That allows you to sync using iSync (iSync will recognize the 5310 as a valid cell phone).

However, although the phone is now supported, I try to sync the phone and get the following error messages:

"There was an error getting data from the phone. The synchronization may have been canceled on the phone." (from iSync)
and
"Data transfer not possible. Check data connection." (from the phone)

As a disclaimer, I obviously didn't cancel either process; It simply stopped after awhile gave me those error messages. I'm assuming it's a problem with the driver, and I'm going to contact the guy who created it. It could be just a problem with my phone. Anyways, hoped this help.

I also experienced problems when I upgraded to Snow Leopard. At first it worked out, but after some days it stopped working. The sync-process stops at the end and refer to a "unexpected error".

My solution to this problem is to to to preferences of iSync and click Reset Sync History. Then it starts to work again...

so can anyone confirm that the 5310 works with 10.6 snow leopard when using the plugin found here:

It worked nice for me, but I'm only at OS X 10.5.8.
The plugin author says clearly that it dones not work with iSync 3.1
