Weather application not working in some cities?!

Well, yeah... 😟

First of all I live in Bucharest*,*Romania (that's somewhere in Europe) btw
My city used to be in the list since the 1.0 firmware, but the last days it completely dissapeared. I can no longer add the city back and also I had found this problem is not only related to my city (there are several other users from a romanian forum who are also experiencing these kind of failings all over the country's cities)

Anyone got some ideas?

I remember that in old times the weather app was using AccuWeather's predictions

It seems they fixed the problem. I get all the towns appear fine right now.

P.S.: Raemonn, it wasn't about the postcodes. The towns were purely gone off the map of the World (Apple Version). Nothing worked.

I have the same problem. Istanbul simply disappeared from Weather App, just when there is a natural disaster over there. I checked my dashboard on MBP, Istanbul works fine. This should be an iPhone related problem.

Same problem here. I live in Romania, Bucharest.
Can't find any major city in Romania on the original Apple Weather App.
I get this: "No results found".

I have an iPhone 3G (3.1).

to Steve Jobs: Please solve this problem.

I've just checked this out...

When you open the weather app, press the Yahoo 'Y' logo in the bottom-left corner. When I did this, it directed me to Yahoo's German site (I am in the UK). There is an option at the bottom of the Yahoo webpage which allows you to change your location. Try changing it and see if it recognises your cities then (because if it think's its German or otherwise, it may not be recognising the spelling).

I've also noticed that Istanbul is there, but not as a city! Instead it is using districts such as Bakirkoy... wierd.

I don't think its an issue with the iPhone, but the Weather Channel/Yahoos server.

If you can't find your town in the Weather app, try to search your town by typing the postcode of your town. Then it should work.
