iTunes 9 - Mini Player weird behaviour

Ho hum.

Upgraded to iTunes 9 and the green cross button to the left of the top bar is behaving oddly.

In previous versions of iTunes, this would switch between the Mini Player and the full size window.

In this version, it switches from Mini Player to full size, but when clicked on from full player, just resizes the window slightly.

ie it's no longer possible to switch from full player to Mini Player using the green cross / resize button.

(Shift-Command-M does work, but it's an ugly way of doing it).

Bug or "feature"? Either way it's infuriating

Just plain stupid UI decision, like the white background. When a product evolves elegantly over so many years, you would expect enhancements, like colored track backgrounds in list view (like folder colors), or, for example, tagged to genres. Instead we get clinical white and the removal of a simple MiniPlayer implementation that is second nature to many of us long-time users.
