Q: iTunes LP download not completing Err= -19

Just installed iTunes 9 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 and downloaded iTunes LP- Mayhem Take Me Away (Logan De Gaulle Remix) Single by Tyrese for $2, just to see what the whole deal was and it reaches the end of the download and iTunes gives an Error -19, stating,

**"There was a problem downloading “iTunes LP - Mayhem Take Me Away (Logan de Gaulle Remix) / Mayhem Take Me Away (Logan de Gaulle Remix) - Single / Tyrese”. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.**
**Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again."**

Every other download works fine, just the iTunes LP will not finish completing the download. I even deleted the downloads folder inside the iTunes music folder to start a fresh download of the iTunes LP and I still get the same errror. I also tried downloading it using another iTunes library located on my internal drive inside my music folder and still the same error.

Please help anybody, thanks.

I had the permission issue (error -5000, "...not enough privileges...") with the Muse LP on Windows 7, so I figured I'd try running iTunes as Administrator and voilà! iTunes worked hard for what seemed like a minute and my LP was saved correctly. I can then run iTunes normally and have access to the LP. Haven't really investigated the real permission issue, this is just a dumb workaround.

To run iTunes as an Administrator, in your start menu, find the iTunes icon and right-click on it, and choose "Run as Administrator" (you may have to shift right-click to see the option).

My two cents so hopefully some of you may get yours working. Good luck!

Just wondered whether anyone has been able to download their Extras/LP by now? Just I purchased Star Trek with iTunes Extras, and keep getting err= -19 when trying to download the iTunes Extra file! iTunes support are trying to replicate the error at their end, but reading what people have posted on here - I don't think they'll be able to replicate the error. Any help would be appreciated!

tomlcooper: I purchased Star Trek a few days ago and I've been going crazy trying to download the iTunes Extras file. I've tried on my Mac, I've tried on Windows XP, Windows 7, my network, other networks and nothing works. iTunes Support hasn't been able to help me, all they've done is enable the whole download again, even though the HD/SD version of the movie downloaded just fine and I didn't need to download again.

I purchased Up with iTunes Extras and that didn't have a problem downloading, so I don't have a clue what's going on.

    yep... same problem.

Star Trek Extras downloads, but fails with error -19 while "processing". i've tried re-organizing the library (which is local)... no luck.

I'm having the same problem with Star Trek Extras. HD and SD movies downloaded fine. Extras downloads all 1.47 GB an then (err= -19). Customer service keeps sending me the same advice. I even tried downloading on a different computer (Macbook Pro) on a different network (office). Same thing. Somebody help!

    Maybe good news here!

I finally got through to a itunes customer rep on the phone!!! They have escalated this to a higher level to look at the actual corrupted itunes extra file for this movie. So stay tuned, there may be light at the end of this warp tunnel.

Keep us updated jzdcbland. I haven't heard anything back from support after my queries, but the fact that you heard something gives me a little more confidence that this will eventually get resolved.

+1: same problem with Star Trek - iTunes Extras. My vote is that there's something corrupted in Apple's file.

I looked at all the download parts and saw that the Info.plist file has what the download file's MD5 should be. I compared what the MD5 of the file is and what it was supposed to be. All the files located in 'Star Trek - iTunes E X.tmp' folder where X is 1-10 have the correct MD5 hash.

However, the file in 'Star Trek - iTunes E.tmp' folder: download.ite has an incorrect MD5 hash. It's supposed to be 5d1ea3ad3417db1845f889f5612867d5 but is
34bd592295d9b4b48b3c0591103a3266. It's possible that when the file is being processed (and shortly before it fails) that the file is updated, but from where I sit the problem is 100% with the iTunes Store and I'd really like it to be resolved. I hate that I was billed the extra cash already, yet am unable to enjoy the iTunes Extras.

I was just able to download the iTunes Extras file! It looks like they changed something from about 6 hours ago (when I last tried) and it works.

I have the same error ( -23) on the LP portion of this holiday sampler. I am sure they are aware of the problem but just in case I have sent them an email via the contacts page in the iTunes app.

We will have to wait and see want transpires.

    regards
