Q: iTunes LP download not completing Err= -19

Just installed iTunes 9 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 and downloaded iTunes LP- Mayhem Take Me Away (Logan De Gaulle Remix) Single by Tyrese for $2, just to see what the whole deal was and it reaches the end of the download and iTunes gives an Error -19, stating,

**"There was a problem downloading “iTunes LP - Mayhem Take Me Away (Logan de Gaulle Remix) / Mayhem Take Me Away (Logan de Gaulle Remix) - Single / Tyrese”. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.**
**Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again."**

Every other download works fine, just the iTunes LP will not finish completing the download. I even deleted the downloads folder inside the iTunes music folder to start a fresh download of the iTunes LP and I still get the same errror. I also tried downloading it using another iTunes library located on my internal drive inside my music folder and still the same error.

Please help anybody, thanks.

    I've got the following reply from their support:

    "Leslie here, from the iTunes Customer Support Team. I understand that you are unable to download the digital booklet from the album "Grateful Dead itunes LP American Beauty". I apologize for any frustration this issue has caused you. Rest assured I am more than happy to assist you today!

    The error you describe may be caused by the presence of web acceleration or firewall software. While the iTunes Store is unable to provide technical support, I can recommend that you either test your connection to the iTunes Store without the presence of this software or configure your system to allow access to the iTunes Store's address."

    But I DON'T have any accelerator or firewall software!!! which means I'm stuffed now?!! I bought two LPs the Grateful Dead and the Bob Dylan one for the same reason as all the others, lyrics, extras etc. and I'm only getting the songs. How ridiculousis this. Apple better resolves this before I scream and shout to all the major apple web sites

    Yep, same problem with the Dylan LP. No firewall or other net software running.

    I contacted support on this after I had the same issue. I authorized them to log into my account to see if they could duplicate the same problem. They were unable to but they re-issued the LP to me to try downloading again. I downloaded the LP on my Macbook, at the end I received an error -5000. I attempted to complete the download again and began receiving the err = -19 error same as before. I have a Windows machine with the same library so I tried it on there. It worked. I am not sure if everyone here having the issue is using Mac but switching to Windows worked for me. That is the first and last time I will ever say that! Bleh!

    I also tried different country downloads (I have a USA and Australia account)both downloads (Grateful Dead in USA and Dylan in Aus) got the same problem (-5000 first and then when you tried downloading it again it's error = -19)

    I'm still getting the error, 36 hours later, on a Windows machine. Something's definitely not right. It's the Dave Matthews Band LP, for the record.

    I'm having this with the Muse LP. While waiting for Apple to give an F, I've compiled a chart of most complained about artists:
    4 posts: Grateful Dead
    3 posts: Bob Dylan
    2 posts: Dave Matthews Band, Norah Jones, Muse
    1 post: Tyrese, Jay-Z
    I'm sure the customer support team at Apple will find this more useful than technical information if they really believe there's something wrong with people's firewalls.

    It's important that Apple understand it's not just a digital booklet, like the pdf's from previous iTunes albums. The part that won't download is ALL of the LP content, including the menus, special interview videos, etc. It's the only reason any of us purchased the LP albums. The special content.

    And it's definitely a problem with the new LP content only. I also bought the Doors LP album, and it's the same error. All of the music and music videos download fine, but the LP content file won't complete.

    I'm also having problems downloading the exclusive new LP content for Muse's latest album.

    I actually 'pre-ordered' the album via iTunes music store link a few days ago while the LP feature was listed, and the LP definitely shows up in my 'order history' list. My firewall was on (great, so I expose myself trying to get something that is supposed to encourage me to use digital distribution!), but since then turned it off and relaunched iTunes 9 with no avail. I did see a box that briefly popped up about 'receiving bonus content' (cant remember the exact words) but nothing actually occurred. If Apple didn't have the exclusive content I would have simply ran out to the stores later today to buy their album!
