Q: iTunes LP download not completing Err= -19

Just installed iTunes 9 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 and downloaded iTunes LP- Mayhem Take Me Away (Logan De Gaulle Remix) Single by Tyrese for $2, just to see what the whole deal was and it reaches the end of the download and iTunes gives an Error -19, stating,

**"There was a problem downloading “iTunes LP - Mayhem Take Me Away (Logan de Gaulle Remix) / Mayhem Take Me Away (Logan de Gaulle Remix) - Single / Tyrese”. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.**
**Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again."**

Every other download works fine, just the iTunes LP will not finish completing the download. I even deleted the downloads folder inside the iTunes music folder to start a fresh download of the iTunes LP and I still get the same errror. I also tried downloading it using another iTunes library located on my internal drive inside my music folder and still the same error.

Please help anybody, thanks.

I seem to have fixed the error. This is what I did. I went into the iTunes Folder and got rid of iTunes Music Library, iTunes Library Genius, iTunes Library Extras and finally iTunes Library. After I opened iTunes 9 and imported everything back into it. Then I located the downloads folder and got rid of The Blueprint 3 LP. After, I checked for available downloads and re-downlaoded the LP and after it was done downloading it came time for processing. After two minutes the download was completed and I checked if it worked and it did. The videos, the lyrics and the pictures worked fine. Note this also seemed to fix the iTunes error that everyone keeps getting about not being able to check for available downloads.

Note: Before I did all this I went to File - Library - Organize Library - Upgrade to iTunes Media Organization.

Note: You will have to rename the Main iTunes folder to iTunes Media before doing any of this stuff that I mentioned earlier.

I hope this helps about the LP issue.

Nope. Sorry. Myself and others have tried this and it still doesn't fix any of the issues. The best we can do is wait for Apple now.

I just noticed that iTunes started without the familiar error message. And the Muse LP is there. I didn't do anything myself, so Apple must have done something.

Hello, I also had contact with the Apple support and asked, if there is way to get the money back.
After he provided me the booklet again and again to download, and it still didn't work, I now got my money back. He also mentioned, that I shouldn't try to download it in the next 3 weeks. This, so he said, would give Apple enough time to find a solution for this problem.
At the moment I'm really not sure, if I'll try it again.. but at least I didn't waste my money.

I may end up needing to have them remove the files and refund me, so that I can go about using the iTunes store. Because as long as that LP file is in my queue, the Store is broken.

Right now I have 5 app updates that need downloading and are stuck, but I can do that directly from the phone. Not a huge problem.

Just wanted to add my name to the list of people unable to download an iTunes LP. My iTunes library is stored on an external hard drive. I tried upgrading to the iTunes Media organization, I have iTunes keep my files organized, and I deleted the download folder and restarted iTunes and redownloaded but I still get the same -5000 / -19 errors trying to download the Muse LP.

I'm holding off on making any additional purchases until this is fixed.

It's been one week from today Apple. Where's my Muse LP! PS none of these hdd and 'iTunes Media' solutions helped. This is a vanilla OS X iTunes install.

I'd like to add myself as also being affected by the failure of the LP aspect of Muse to download. I've been in touch with Apple Support who assure me the problem is being investigated.

However, what makes my circumstance more unusual is that my Downloads folder and my iTunes Store account indicate that I have four items for download - but there's nothing actually visible in the Downloads folder! Clicking on the icon at the bottom and entering my password to download brings up the iTunes Store temporarily unavailable error message, as does the Store > Check for Available Downloads route.

There's no doubt the failed LP bit has caused some issues somewhere, but where exactly I'm not sure. I can still buy and download items no problem. App updates appear and pass through the downloads folder when invoked - although I did have a logjam when one app that wasn't installed on my iPhone got 'stuck' and wouldn't download. Others that followed wouldn't download with the 'download all' button -they had to be manually clicked. Updating via iPhone directly worked, as did installing the stuck app on iPhone then updating it via iPhone and synching it back to iTunes. None of the rebuild strategies outlined in this thread have made any difference, nor deleting prefs or repairing permissions or deleting or recreating folders on my Mac, which suggests maybe it's a Store problem that only Apple can solve. Soon I hope.

    *At Last!*

I received a message from Apple iTunes Store Support today indicating that the problem has been found and solved and the iTunes LP Muse/Resistance has been posted again to my account. I just downloaded it without any further problems. Done!

Please note that I didn't have any of the "Err = -19" or similar messages before. I just haven't been able to download the LP part of the album and the iTunes Store came up with a message being "temporarily unavailable". This is gone now.

I suggest everyone with this problem to just check for available downloads again and see what happens. If you still can't download the LP content, get in touch with Apple. They may have to fix it manually.

I have the exact same problem described like yourself. Checked my 'check for downloads' and this time, after a week and a bit, Apple has finally, FINALLY made it work after the 'iTunes store is temporary down'. Fantastic, though Apple really should have tested this feature as I am no longer sold on the LP idea.

My problem was fixed by deleting the Downloads folder...
I had to reboot my PC, but after deleting the folder, iTunes downloaded the LP succesfully...

I hope that after the Downtime of the iTunes store this problem is permanently resolved!
