I can't update Genius - Error (4002)

Every time I try to update the Genius feature, I get an error

"You could not complete your iTunes Store request. An Unknown error occurred (4002)"

Other computers in the same network updated successfully.

Any suggestions about how to fix this?

Thanks

It does seem like it's related to cookies. But you don't have to delete all the cookies - bad idea. Instead, you can only delete cookies for apple.com domain:

1) Launch Safari, go to its Preferences, go to "Security" tab and click "Show cookies" button.
2) enter "apple.com" in the search field.
3) Select all the apple.com entries in the list and click "Remove" button.

Voila!

i don't get an error message or anything... it just doesn't show the genius mix icon!!!! i have installed it for like the seventh or eighth time... I've removed the cookies folder from the library and tried store>update genius. It just says, now your genius is switched on and select any song to make a genius playlist. Nothing seems to work... Some one help me!!!!!

I'm having the same problem still and I have tried both of the suggestions on this thread.

If you're having issues updating Genius - turn it off first, then do what I suggested above (removing cookies for apple.com domain), then turn it back on.

If you're having issues turning it on - that must be a different issue, then 😟
