Authorize it from the Store menu in iTunes.

To authorize a computer, go to the Store menu as previously mentioned and click Authorize Computer... (I believe you must be logged into the account that you are authorizing the computer for as well)

As copied per iTunes Help in iTunes:

To import items from other libraries using Home Sharing:

Choose Advanced > Turn On Home Sharing.
Type your iTunes account name and password, and then click Create Home Share.
Using the same user name and password, repeat steps 1 and 2 on each computer.
To import items from another computer, select the computer (below Shared), and drag items from its library to yours.
To automatically import iTunes Store items that are downloaded to a computer you’re Home Sharing with, select “Automatically import new purchases from [Computer Name].”

I'm having the same problem, and that didn't work. I got home share to work on my account and my dad's laptop using my account, and when I try it on my mom's computer, it says "Home Sharing could not be activated because this computer is not authorized for the account "ENTER ACCOUNT NAME (mine, don't wanna post it)". Please authorize this computer and try again."

I tried what you said and it didn't work.
