This Copy of iTunes is corrupted or not installed properly

Ran software update and now iTunes shows as v 9.0, but when I run I get the error; This copy of iTunes is corrupted or not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.

I've gone to the download link on Apple's iTunes web page. The 82.8MB file is downloading as 110MB and when I double click on the .dmg file to open, I get a warning: The following disk images couldn't be opened iTunes9.dmg error -4960.

Anyone else?

I got the same error.

Please help... I hate to even think of losing all my prefs and pre-eq sets.

I ran software update, during the install it crashed.
iTunes stopped. It crashes everytime I try to open with an error "The copy iTunes is corrupted or not installed correctly, etc."
Then, I downloaded iTunes 9 from the apple page.
In the middle of the installation, crashed.
And then, the same corruptive annoying error.

I'm can't open my tunes ;/

Not to worry. The package downloaded by Software Update seemed to be b0rken.

I fixed it like this:
Download iTunes 9.0.2 here:
http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.info.apple.com/iTunes9/061-7197. 20091029.tnz9f/iTunes9.0.2.dmg

That disk image unpacks an .mpkg (meta package) whereas Software Update downloaded a folder containing packages. Looks like it just unpacked on download instead of install.
