Quicktime 10 and Snow Leopard

I've just upgraded to Snow Leopard and I wanted to watch some previous keynote speeches and the latest rock and roll one, but the video is all blocky on Quicktime.

When I load it up the sound is ok but the video is all blocky and the movement is jumpy.

Any ideas?

iMac Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.4.8)
