Itunes Store Font Display

Since upgrading to v. 9, the artist name is in a illegible font on the main page. On other pages various parts are in the same gibberish. Did I get a bad font install during the installation process?

I have exactly the same issue - since downloading itunes 9 (and the forced download of safari to run the store) my MacBook Pro displays garbage fonts in the store front. Apple support have been crap as they just say to reinstall everything!

In fact the reason I don't use safari as my main browser is that it has always had that issue on my Mac (showing symbols not normal text on web pages) and no amount of font substation in the settings seems to fix it! Firefox has never had those issues.

But now it seems itunes is screwed up thanks to safari being crap. Not impressed.

I'm having the same font issue as everyone else. I've had to stop using Safari because of the font issue, and now it's showing up on iTunes Store. I too will not purchase anything from iTunes until it's fixed. Has anyone found a true solution. Deleting fonts is not an option, that's just ridiculous. As a graphic designer I need my fonts, especially the main system fonts.

This is on you Apple, fix your issues.

Well fwiw, I wanted to experiment, so I took the helvetica fonts out of my fonts folder (just moved them to my desktop), restarted itunes and the stored displayed fine (just like everyone is reporting). Since I can't work without those fonts I put them back in the fonts folder, restarted itunes and my pc and the itunes store still displays fine. Not sure what will happen in the future though.

My wife has same problem but I believe that the font used by Istore is Lucida Grande, so why removing Helvetica helps not too sure. I also note that a lot of these replies are from Dell users, but of course there are a lot of them about so perhaps not significant. Amazon must be doing a lot of music download business at present!
