Receiving a Text message sometimes no noise/ring when it comes in. Anyone?

I recently noticed that sometimes when a text message comes in, I will receive the message however, there will me be no noise/ring or any notification that I got a text message. This doesn't happen all the time but happens once in awhile here and there. When I see click the home button i see there is a text message there. Anyone else notice this issue or glitch? or found a way to solve this issue?
