Question

"Quartz Extreme capable video card" error message

I just upgraded to a new Mac Pro with the LED Cinema Display. The Cinema Display is connected with the Mini Display Port connector. Now, when I try to start FCP, I get a "Minimum System Checks" box that says

"Final Cut Pro requires that your system have a Quartz Extreme capable video card."

I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to cope with this.

Mac Pro Quad-Core Xeon 2.66 GHz 3GB memory, Mac OS X (10.6)

Prevoius reports here have suggested that it is enough to press the Esc key and the installation will continue.

I am sure that you will post back if this turns out not to be the case.

Situation actually corrected itself after a minor update to the system.

I'm also having that problem. 2.0Ghz Mac mini w/ 4GB RAM and the 9400M graphics card. FCP seems to run fine on my MBP 13" which has the same GPU. Very frustrating!
