With the new iTunes 9.0 update my discs won't eject after I burn them. No matter how many times I smash the eject button on my disc drive the only way I can eject it is to restart my computer, and frankly doing this every time I want to burn a disc is becoming a joke.
Anyone else having the same problem so that I know its a local setting? Or anyone know a fix?
ok well here we go im having problems similar with itunes 9 and no my eject itunes display button will not work, neither will my dis drives eject. when i have tried burning it locked down my computer once for a few minutes then itunes stayed frozen i restarted tried again with the same result and only after a restart could i eject the disc.
Good, clearly I'm not the only one. I have tried every way of ejecting, the button on the tower, the itunes button, the my computer way. Nothing works unless I restart the computer.
Mine is now getting this same problem. Also when i burn a CD it will cut out midsong onto another track. So far i've been through like 5 cd's thinking it is either a bad cd with something already on it, or playing a song while burning or closing my laptop while burning etc. Is this being worked on?? It is ****** that I'm chewing through cd's because of an update I ran thinking it would help :?
try right clicking on the disk under the devices tab. after u right click on the disk left click on eject disk. it should work bu it might take a few seconds
Mine stalls at the final initialization period, won't stop, and continues doing nothing forever ... the icon does not appear on the desktop, or in the finder window, so I can't eject it either (not that I'd want to while it's doing the final init). Only when I restart can I then eject the CD - which is not complete because it didn't finish the final init.
Same problem here on Windows 7 64-bit, running itunes 9.0.2.25.
Don't think I used to have this problem. Tried all the "eject CD" tricks but rebooting windows seems to be the only way to get it to eject. (even tried uninstalling CD drive from device manager without success).
I have the same problem. After burning, CD used to automatically eject.
Now it does not eject. It also does not show up in the "Library" panel as a disk. Executing the command "Eject Disk" (from the iTunes "Control" menu) does nothing. CD also does not show up in Finder as a disk. The only way to eject is to use the Eject key in the upper right of the keyboard.
Windows Vista, same problem. I burn a disk and about a little over half the time the disk won't eject. I tried the itunes eject, the button on the front of the computer, the system eject, i updated my driver, my windows, my itunes. Version 9.0.3.15.
I am having the same problem, itunes will burn the first disc and eject, but any subsequent disc will only eject after a reboot. I have tried multiple different ways of opening the tray to no avail. Some times the disc is incomplete when I manage to get it out of the drive. I have reinstalled Itunes and have upgraded to Win 7. Anyone had any joy with this?
Same problem.
Only answer I have found is to NEVER do ANYTHING else while burning.
Leave the iTunes window open, but have everything else shut down, and then wait and pray.
