The display calibration in System Preferences won't save my profile. It works fine until the conclusion when I get the following message: "An error occurred. The new calibrated display profile could not be created or set to be the current profile for this display." This happens with both my Apple Cinema Display and my ViewSonic LCD monitor. Any suggestions?
I'm having the same problem, never had any issue doing regular calibration of the Dell monitor I've got under 10.5, after installing 10.6 the screen was blanched and I'm having to use a generic profile at the moment. Done a permissions repair etc., no joy.
What calibration hardware and software are you using? eye1?
Check their web site for latest software. I installed 3.6.3 and haven't had a problem since.
I used Cocktail 4.6.1 to repair permissions and run cache clean scripts.
No more errors.
