4th Generation IPod Nano Battery Life

I have recently bought the 4th generation IPod Nano this year at February.

I am not impressed with the cheap battery life of this.

I charge it for 4 hours on the USB port on my DELL Windows XP computer. When I use it, it only lasts for 30 minutes battery life. I don't play games or videos, or movies on it. I just play like 25 songs, and the battery is dead after 30 minutes.

Is there any way I can replace the battery?

Or make sure its a good battery pack?

Or, is there an IPod that has a longer battery life when you charge it for 4 hours?

You could answer any of these questions. Thanks!

I've only been using my new 4th Generation Nano for a few weeks. I already own 2 other MP3 players, and only bought an iPod for the Nike+. I feel like someone stole $175 from me and from the comments I'm not sure how to get it back. I charge it all day on my computer at work, yet it only has about an hour of battery life. I used it for an hour work-out the other day - without music, I was walking with a friend - then turned it off and locked it off. The next day it was completely dead. It was bad the first couple of weeks, but now it's hit a new level. I can't imagine how it is supposed to shoot or run video if can't maintain an hours worth of low battery usage. Is Apple going to address their shoddy work? Or please Nike get in bed with another electronics company!!

These must be bad batches. When I bought my 4G back in January at an Apple Store they told me to return it if I find the battery drains quickly - they must have been aware of the bad batch. It never did; I can get a good 8 hours out of it (with the backlight 1/3 bright and changing songs often). You should definitely take it back to the store (or send it into Apple if it's still under warranty).
