Aventail VPN Connect with SmartTunneling

Aventail VPN Connect w/ SmartTunneling (v10.x.y.z) used to work with Leopard. After updating to Snow Leopard, it no longer works. Has anyone found a solution or workaround?

It worked for me. I couldn't get Aventail Connect to work in Leopard, it would connect and then disconnect. I was able to use Aventail from the browser and use the links inside the browser, but not the same experience as using Connect.

In Snow Leopard Aventail Connect would stay stuck on "Connecting...". Changing the Java preferences worked and I'm so happy, because before I had to do all of my work inside a Windows XP VM.

Hi,
I have a MacBook Pro 5,5 with a 64bit kernel and it does not work for me. I've tried loading Java 1.6, 1.5 and 1.4 in 32 bit mode, Safari in 32 bit mode and it doesn't connect.
In Java 1.6 and 1.5 the "Applet XEPC started" appears in the status window and then hangs. After a second or two Safari will stop responding.
I did try booting into 64bit mode to see if it made a difference; it didn't, still causes a hang.

Has anyone found a solution that gets beyond this point for a 64bit kernel?

Harry
