    no .. (btw: is this a smart company name.. )
    only compatibility issues I had, my favorite toy MediaInfo (=to analyze video files.. ) jumps to nirvana in 10.6. ...-

    don't hesitate to post more suggestions..
    I'm pretty sure, something interferes ..
    but I own mostly 'the usual suspects' of software, very few 'exotics' (=no betas, etc) ..
    e.g. years ago, I used divx-encoders, which sometimes have a bad effect .. = all erased, .. no change.

    I made a few tests, and found some 'bad guy' in my Lib ...
    Patch/HowTo on my website:

    http://karsten.schluter.googlepages.com/im09losttransparencypatch

    offers a very rude patch of half of that problem.

    a) the Title's Preview Pane still shows the infected, damaged titles ...
    b) but the Project's Preview is now fully functional
    c) and exported Projects contain transparent titles ...

    hope that helps ..

    I tried your patch, but I must be confused. When you say "drag the infoplist to the open content folder" isn't that the same folder where the list came from? I am not sure what content folder you are talking about?

    Karsten

    I posted this above. This sure looks like exactly what your problem is. 3rd party software that is interfering with iMovie on Snow Leopard.

    "GLTools from Kineme has Snow Leopard Compatibility issues. If you are using that make sure you are using version 1.3"

    I can see from you site you are running this and have version 1.2. So why not upgrade to 1.3 and your issue will be resolved? Why this confusing patch you posted ???

    Karsten,

    Look at the Info.plist you have on your site:

    Bundle identifier net.kineme.GLTools
    Bundle versions string, short 1.2

    That's your problem.

    Here is info from my infoplist --
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    <key>CFBundleDevelopmentRegion</key>
    <string>English</string>
    <key>CFBundleExecutable</key>
    <string>GLTools</string>
    <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>
    <string>net.kineme.GLTools</string>
    <key>CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion</key>
    <string>6.0</string>
    <key>CFBundleName</key>
    <string>GLTools</string>
    <key>CFBundlePackageType</key>
    <string>BNDL</string>
    <key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key>
    <string>1.1</string>
    <key>CFBundleVersion</key>
    <string>20081020</string>
    <key>GFPlugIn</key>
    <true/>
    <key>NSPrincipalClass</key>
    <string>KinemeGLToolsPlugin</string>
    <key>SUExpectsDSASignature</key>
    <true/>
    </dict>
    </plist>

    what can I do? If these will fix the transparency issue -- I will try anything. I dont know what this even does.. so any layman's explanation will be helpful.

    my problem is, you don't tell me, where 'Kineme' comes from, what it is, etc.

    the GLTools.plugin is the prob..
    I did found out myself .. , without your help..
    or did anybody post a solution to that well-known prob?
    not yet.
    aside a cryptical 'update to 1.3.' .. what? where? who? links?

    sorry for being grumpy - this prob is aware on this board for ~6 weeks, I'm posting today a kind of solution and all I get is I do 'confuse' people ...

    sorry for trying to be helpful
    I like to share on such a board, I don't sell any engineer's insight

    Okay, did that -- but when I click onto it in the downloads folder -- it doesn't indicate what application opens it. Any suggestions? Not sure where this plug in came from --maybe something I added in final cut express?
