Where to get a Glass Armonica instrument plugin

Anyone know of a good virtual instrument of The Glass Armonica. I am aware of the Vienna library Glass And Stones package, but I would like to know all the options out there.

Even though there are a couple of PC vst versions, I've never seen a mac AU version.

FTR: I've actually played a Glass Armonica, tis a very strange instrument you get some mad vibrations going through your body as you play.

You could always try to emulate one in sculpture though.

Hi

You could also make your own EXS instrument.

First get an assortment of crystal ware and have access to water ... 🙂

After you get done, could ya post the instrument &samples somewhere? 😉

As a musician with a long term interest in exotic acoustic sounds (as well as the electronic ones), I find this kind of thing to be fascinating.

A test of whether you really want it or not is to try finding the right sound and using the EXS24, really as Bee Bee said.

When people originally used instruments like this they just had to make them work and then get a good recording of them - so the basic idea hasn't changed much, really.
