Okay. How do I move a voice memo from my iPhone 3GS to my Mac? All software and hardware is current. All I want to do is move voice memos from iPhone to my Mac. Memos are 30 minutes plus and cannot email from iphone. So I want to move to my Mac and email if I want. How to? thanks! rr

Under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select Include Voice Memos.

    Syncing Voice Memos

iTunes automatically syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.

Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.

    Allan,

That's the procedure to sync the voice memos playlist back to the iPod app on the phone.

See page 128 of the user guide.

Thanks, but that's the problem. All I want to do is transfer voice memos from the iPhone to my Mac. Don't really want to sync. Drag and drop possible? I don't want to replace stuff on iPhone with stuff from itunes on mac. Simply want to move voice memos from iphone to mac kinda like an external hard drive. Is it even possible? thanks to all!

I got it. I "synced" using itunes and it worked. It moved voice memos from iPhone to itunes without deleting from iPhone which is what I wanted to do. I thought syncing would "erase" or replace the stuff on my iPhone with whatever on itunes on my mac but it didn't. thanks again to all. rr
