Create Ringtone... Error (11556)

Hi!

I want to make a ringtone from my music purchased in the mexican iTunes Store, but when I trying to make it with iTunes 9.0 (70) I receive this warning:

ITUNES COULD NOT CONNECT TO THE ITUNES STORE. AN UNKNOW ERROR OCCURRED (11556). Make sure your network connection is active and try again.

Is possible make an ringtone from my iTunes store of Mexico?

I had the same error code when trying to sort out Home Sharing on my Daughters iMac. The error turned out to be that my Daughters iMac was not authorised with my Apple Account (in iTunes go to Store / Authorise Computer). Also ensure that Parental Controls are not enables within the iTunes preferences.

I had the same error and read that you can only use "Create Ringtone..." feature in the USA because of licensing. I just used Garageband to create the ringtone then go to "Share" in the Garageband menu bar and then select "Send Ringtone to iTunes". I haven't put the ringtone on a phone yet but the ringtone is now in my Ringtones library. Hope this helps.

You are getting the error because this feature is not available outside the U.S at this point.

There are many free ways to make ringtones.

Google will find them.
