Chase program Changes not working_L9

All other midi events are behaving as advertised. But "Chase Program Change" does not. It IS checked in project midi settings. Won't chase a Vi within Logic or with external midi slaves.
Program change works as playhead crosses region, but should chase event from anywhere in prior timeline, like any other cc event.

Is it me? Does this work for anyone else.
