WHERE IS IMOVIE TIMELINE

In iMovie 9 there is no timeline. If you want a timeline you need to get iMovie HD, which unfortunately is not available from Mac anymore.
If you are very new to iMovie I advise you read through the Help info available in iM9. There's ton's of info available that will answer many of your questions.

If you want a timeline you need to get iMovie HD (iMovie 06).

Many users want iMovie 06 also, but you can not download it FROM APPLE.

You can buy iLife 06 on Amazon or eBay.

But be prepared to pay about double the cost of iLife 09 (but well worth every penny). Seller's are becoming aware of its value. Many users want iMovie 06 also, but you can not download it FROM APPLE.

• FinalCut Express
• FinalCut Pro (part of FC-Studio)
• Adobe Premiere

FCE - very much for minimasl cost - BUT There are a lot of new learning and forgetting
about iMovie ease to use.

Still when confortable with FCE - the gain and freedom is enormous ! !

Of course there is NO timeline because there is NO NEED for a timeline.

09 can do everything you would do with an old-fashioned timeline.

Before buying iM06, be sure it runs under 10.6.
