After update, cannot copy to computers...

After updating to 3.3.1 (Admin and Client), I can still control and observe, send UNIX reports and other typical tasks but I cannot make full use of copying anymore.

When I try to copy, it misses on how many computers have a preexisting file and then fails on any computers that do not currently have a user logged in. I am trying to copy to a specific location, not to current user's desktop.

I am working on a 24" iMac, latest generation running 10.5.8. I have also attempted it from my MBP, latest generation running 10.6.1.

I have tried trashing preferences, reinstalling the Admin software, and re-upgrading client software. None of this has fixed the issue.

With version 3.2, I had none of these issues and had been using ARD with no problem for a couple years.

I'm having the same problem with 3.3 (Admin) and 3.3.1 (client) on a Mac Pro running 10.5.8.

In addition, I cannot run installer packages. It simply gets stuck on "Waiting for Item." After about 30 seconds it fails.

I've tried completely uninstalling the software (according to Apple's instructions) and reinstalling. No luck.

Whenever I launch the program it asks which computer I'd like to use for the Task Server. It also hangs for 10-15 seconds while opening the Security preference. I also see this in the log:

Remote Desktop[521]: populateAuthenticateEntry: BUG ALERT! Server serial number in computer database is NULL!!!

I've tried reinstalling, rebooting, and I can't figure it out. I didn't have any problems like this with previous versions. Any thing else I should try?

I notice this message in the system log as well. When I remove the various ARD plist files along with the ARD database (/var/db/RemoteManagement), I get this error along with Task Server prompt each time ARD Admin app starts. Could this be a bug within the 3.3 ARD admin application?
