G5 conversion from Power PC to Intel - is it possible?

*Hi Folks, I have a G5 which obviously doesn't have an intel process, can you buy a compatible intel process which would fit my G5 and work effectively with the G5 hardware?*

*If so, has anyone done this and what has been the outcomes vis-a-vis stability, performance reliability?*
