Creating a QT MSI installer

I am trying to roll out the QT Viewer, and other std s/w, to a remote PC (or few!)

Every other piece of software I need to do this to allows me to create an MSI file for distribution under Windoze 2003 Server.

I can extract the msi but am unable to deploy it as it will not run outside of the installer exe.

How do I overcome this issue?
Is there someone out there who has cracked this issue?

I would also like to know how to create a standalone MSI installer package. Our institution has over a thousand Windows PCs and we'd like to deploy QT7 on all of them. Obviously we cannot go to each machine to do the install (it would take far too long) so we'd like to use Windows 2003 SUS to roll the software out.

The stand-alone QT installer that you get from Apple (after getting their permission to distribute on your intranet) needs some coaxing to be Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy compliant.

AppDeploy.com has a compilation of various attempts to deploy QuickTime 7, including MSI, at http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=520.

I have not deployed QuickTime 7 yet to my Windows machines. Found your post while researching the issue. I'll try to post back my results.
