how to save picture of print screen

I found in the help menu the command of print screen. Then I went to any application, like Word or Photoshop but when i said paste, it didnt paste the picture I took. How to save them?

Is this a Mac/OS 10.3 question? Your profile says you are using Windows. If you are going to post Mac questions, you need to add your Mac model & OS to your profile.

Macs don't have the Print Screen function like PCs/Windows. The equivalent Mac functions are described in this link. http://www.ehow.com/how4835129use-print-screen-function-mac.html

You will find the information Tom linked in the Mac Help menu. It is called taking a screen shot. It saves to the desktop by default. You can print it from there if you need to do that or import it as a graphics file.
