Question about Preview

On Preview, is it possible to insert an image (e.g. png) onto a .pdf document?
I know I can annotate it, but lets say I would like to add a signature. How do I go about doing that?

I already have a signature as a .png now I'm having trouble inserting it.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6),  Classic • Nano  iPhone 3G

If you're willing to have the image on its own page, you can use Preview to convert the image into a PDF file, then drag the page of the PDF file from the sidebar of its window to the sidebar of the other PDF document.
