Power surge on Hub port, usb device has exceeded the power limit of its hub
Hi,
I happen to have an IPod Classic 5th generation. I plugged it into a HI FI device a few days ago and since then, I have an error message on both my PC and Mac computers when I try to plug the I Pod. The error message is : "Power surge on Hub port, usb device has exceeded the power limit of its hub port. Unknown USB device"
I searched this forum and found the previous answer given (the rubber bands to hold the plug) but it did not work. Neither with hands nor with rubber bands. I still get the same message.
I can still charge the IPod battery through the Hi Fi device, but I cannot update my music or the IPod.
What do you recomend ?
Regards
Lise
