Reinstalling Bonjour

I'm having a weird Airport/Printer problem that I believe has been mentioned on here before. I recall seeing a few threads, and the one that struck me as being the closest to my issue suggested that a messed up installation of Bonjour (mDNS Responder) could be the culprit. The instructions for fixing it in that thread were not particularly satisfactory, so now I'm trying to figure out how to reinstall mDNS Responder completely in 10.4.11, and can't figure out how.

Anyone have any insight into this?

Thanks,
Blake

Hi Blake, and a warm welcome to the forums! 🙂

Try this first...

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when complete, test again.

Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode...

Then if it is indeed possible to just install Bonjour, Get Pacifist...

then extract what you need from your Install Disk.

Perhaps use it to search for mDNSResponder & install whichever package it's in.
