How much default memory in a 64gb Ipod Touch?

I know the actual storage capacity of ipods don't necessarily reflect the advertised capacity. When I first synced my 1st gen 8gb ipod touch, I only had a little over 7 gigs of free memory and I had not added anything yet.

So how much default memory or free memory do you get with a 64gb touch after it is first activated?

imac current generation, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

It is due to the way memory is calculated and reported.

You can try doing the math to see what it would be.

Hi: I haven't purchased one but the space you have will show as approximately 59.8gB
