Mail wants to use the "login" keychain.

So every time I log in and out or restart the iMac it's gonna say: "Mail wants to use the "login" keychain." Now if it's not the Mail app than it's something else. It's only happening since I upgraded to 10.6. Anyone have any idea what cause this and how to end it? Just go easy on me I sort of a noob to Macs so try to explain it to me like you would explain it to a 3 years old. 😉

HI,

Whenever an application requires you to save your password to your Keychain, click "Allow" or "Always Allow". That way you do not have to do this twice for the same application.

The Keychain Access application resides here. (Applications/Utilties).

About Keychain Access

Securely store all your passwords.

With Mac OS X, you can securely store all of your passwords for websites, servers, networks, applications, and more in a keychain. This allows you to use a single login password to unlock your keychain and automatically log in. With the Keychain Access application, you can manage your passwords, view and manage digital certificates, and even securely store notes containing important information.

Let's Try this;

-Quit all the applications (if any app is running)

-Choose "GO" from the top menu bar and click UTILITIES

-Open Keychain Access

-Choose Keychain access from the top menu bar and then click PREFERENCES.

-Click RESET MY KEYCHAIN if you have that option ( sometimes you will not have that option)

-(If you have the option)... After clicking Reset my keychain, enter your computer login password and then click OK

(If you don't the option)

-Choose keychain access from the menu bar and click KEYCHAIN FIRST AID

-Enter the computer login password and then Click REPAIR.

-RESTART the computer... 🙂

Actually I find a solution by google-ing and it was to delete some file I don't remember exactly but something like: keychain.log in some library and restart the computer. I've lost all my saved passwords but at least no more nagging and my iMac starts up like a dream.
Thanks for all the effort! Thanks everybody!
