i need to move a user from one mac to another, now im a bit worried about moving their entourage email. The mail resides on an exchange server so i now thats ok but within Entourage it also says Files Stored on my computer and there are some archive folders. Were are these files stored and how can i move them so that i can point the user on the new mac back to them.

cheers

I have a similar, I think, problem. But first, at the top of your post, I see --

This question is not answered. "Helpful" answers available: 2 . "Solved" answers available: 1 .

Now this would be a good thing, that is, if the answers were truly available, and especially the "Solved" answer, but there are not clickable links, so it's like a bit of torture.

In any case, I reinstalled the os on my hard drive with an archive, and can't find the Entourage files in the archive that were "on my computer" in Entourage, all my downloaded emails. Do you know where these are stored?

Those just tell the helpers how many Stars/Rewards are available if the Original poster wishes to mark them so.

Actualy a thread that has been Solved & had 2 helpful answers posted & marked by the OP would say "Helpful" answers available: 0 . "Solved" answers available: 0", or actually... "This question is answered. ", like...

I don't have Entourage, but I'd get EasyFind...

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/11706

Use that to search for them.

Hello belronan,

There's only one location for Entourage's data. It's in the user account in the...

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/

...folder. The last folder path after "Microsoft User Data" will be different of course if it's Office 2004 or Office X. Whichever the case, what you want to back up and transfer to the new Mac is the folder "Main Identity".

Install Office as normal on the new Mac. Copy the Main Identity folder to the exact same path as the Mac it's coming from. Entourage will automatically use that data.
